After testing is complete, we'll sit down together to review the results and walk through what they mean in plain, parent-friendly language. If therapy is recommended, sessions are organized into a defined service tier, with length and frequency set by what your child's evaluation shows. Consistent, sustained intervention is what actually produces change, not isolated sessions, which is why therapy is structured this way rather than booked session by session. A deposit is due at booking, with the remaining balance due at your child's first session.
3. Therapy
If you're not sure whether a full evaluation is the right step, a Literacy Screening is a good place to start. Evaluations are conducted in the comfort of your home, with scheduling based on your family's availability. Each evaluation is individualized, with testing tailored to your child's developmental stage, your concerns, and clinical observation. Assessments may include both informal and standardized methods. Required paperwork is sent in advance and must be completed before the appointment, and a deposit is due at booking, with the remainder due at the time of the evaluation.

The Literacy Loop serves children in kindergarten through 8th grade. If your child falls outside that range, reach out anyway. Fit depends on more than age, and I'm glad to talk it through with you.
What ages do you work with?
Yes. Many families work with both. School services and private services can complement each other, and I'm happy to coordinate so your child gets one consistent approach rather than two competing ones.
My child already gets speech at school.
Can we still work with you?
Yes. A formal diagnosis is not required to begin. If your child is struggling and you want to understand why, that's enough to get started. A screening or evaluation will clarify the picture from there.

You'll receive a written report and we'll meet for a parent feedback session where I walk you through the results in plain language. It depends on your child's profile, which is exactly what the evaluation is designed to map. Some children need a focused block of intervention, others benefit from longer support. How is this different from what my
child gets at school?
School-based services are governed by eligibility criteria, caseload size, and instructional priorities that don't always match a child's clinical needs. Services here are individualized, driven entirely by your child's evaluation results, and not subject to eligibility thresholds. You also get direct access to me at every session, not a rotating schedule of providers.
Will you communicate with my
child's school or teachers?
Yes. With your permission, I can collaborate with your child's teachers, share written recommendations, and review school documents like IEPs or progress reports. Everyone supporting your child should be working from the same playbook.
Do you come to us?
Yes. The Literacy Loop is a mobile practice, and sessions are conducted in your home. Once we're established and working together, telehealth can be an option when schedules or circumstances call for it.
Do you accept insurance?
The Literacy Loop is a cash-pay practice, which means your child's plan is driven by your child's evaluation results rather than by insurance coverage rules. A superbill can be provided on request for families who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance provider.
